The retirement of the Nto Otong District Rector

There was great enthusiasm and excitement in South West Area of Nigeria cared for by Apostle Enobong Udoh, as Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu conducted four festive divine services during his two-day pastoral care visit.

Accompanied by the host, Apostle Udoh and Bishop Anthony Urom, the Lead Apostle arrived Nonwa Congregation in Nonwa Tai District, Rivers State on Thursday morning, 14th October 2021 to a joyful reception.

He addressed them with a word from Psalm 145: 2 - 3 "Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name for ever.  Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised...."

In his message he stressed the importance of praising the greatness of God in His creation and love for mankind. He continued, we bless the Lord when we:
Sing His praises, obey Him, believe Him, profess Him, love Him, trust Him, forgive others and
not being indifferent.

He enjoined all the 245 participants to continually praise the greatness and perfectness of God in words and deeds.

Apostle Udoh and Bishop Urom assisted at the altar, one District Leader was retired, One appointed and two District Delegates assigned.

God is not slack concerning his promises

By 1: 30pm, the entourage arrived Kor Congregation in Kor District to a rousing reception.

It seldom happens that such a large congregation numbering 260 is assembled.

In his exhortation, the Lead Apostle read a word from 2 Peter 3: 9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us,"

Lead Apostle Nwogu reassured the brethren about the promises of God.
He said in the omega period, the Lord has established the ministry of grace and reconciliation through the apostolate and charged all to allow themselves to be prepared as bride for the return of Christ.
Continuing, he said it is not given to us to know when the Lord is coming but what matters most to us is our reediness.

He cautioned that we must: Love God and our neighbors, fight sin and evil, pray intensively, follow the apostles, believe in Jesus, stop murmuring and Forgive one another…

The District Leader was retired and replaced with one appointment, while two District Delegates were assigned.

A blessing to the nations
On the next day, Friday, 15th October, the Lead Apostle was received at Utu Etim Ekpo congregation in the morning.

He served them with a text from Galatians 3: 8 - 9 "And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying. 'In you all the nations shall be blessed."

In his sermon, the Lead Apostle said trust in the promises of God even when we don't understand is criteria for blessings.

Believe in God and His promises strengthen our faith, Lead Apostle Nwogu declared: God in His wisdom instructed Abraham to vacate his abode and journey to where He will bless him, Abraham obliged even when he didn't know where he was going. His implicit trust and obedience brought him tremendous blessings which we are now part of.

He held unto God's promises against all odds.
It is our joy that we are part of these blessings, he reaffirmed.

He reiterated that for us to remained blessed we must endeavour to:
Trust in God, believe and hope in His promises, wait patiently on Him in all situations of life, Love Him with all our hearts, mind and spirit.

Called to assist were Apostle Udoh and Bishop Urom. One Assistant District Rector was retired and one District Deputy was assigned.

Be ready
The Lead Apostle concluded the visit in the afternoon at Nto Otong congregation in Nto Otong District where 192 worshipers had anxiously waited for the arrival of the Lead Apostle and his company.

The joyful Congregation was addressed with a text word from Matthew 24 :34 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things takes place."

In his homily, the Lead Apostle harped on our preparation for the return of Christ.

He reminded all that His coming is likened to a thief in the night.
He pleaded that we should yield our lives to the apostolate for our preparation so the we may be made ready as adorned brides…
