Trust the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you
Thousands of New Apostolic Christians in Nigeria, with so much expectations and trust in the mighty power of God, anticipated the Pentecost divine service with great joy and enthusiasm, waiting to fill their souls with hope and keep their focus on Christ, who is our future.
At the commencement of the divine service, the Chief Apostle emphasized the need for us to trust God in all situations and circumstances, that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think. And that is our faith and conviction. God is able to do beyond our understanding. He Has no limit. His love is much more powerful than we can imagine.
He went on to say that we can experience the power of His love through the power that works in us. God is love and He is at work for our salvation.
He explained these core thoughts in the divine service:
The presence of the Holy Spirit
Our idea of our salvation is that Christ is our future. Our salvation consists of being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. We want to become like Jesus.
That’s our goal. That’s the salvation we are waiting for.
The image of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was without sin and there is always peace in His heart. He overcame everything without violence. He remained in control of His destiny, whatever happened…
The Holy Spirit works in us to transform us into the image of Christ.
The three major aspects of the Holy Spirit are: The Spirit of creation, the Spirit of Power and the Spirit of movement.
Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son
The Holy Spirit gives us the teaching of Jesus Christ the Son of God. He will always work within the framework of the gospel and teachings of Christ and the church established by Him…
In conclusion, the Chief Apostle recapped that our goal is to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. That’s the work of the Holy Spirit, He wants to transform us, working in us. He is the spirit of creation, the spirit of power and the spirit of movement. Let us trust Him and accept to be guided by Him. He will always find a way to provide us with peace, joy and salvation.
District Apostle Michael Deppner from D R Congo and Leonard Kolb from the United States were called to serve along in the divine service.
