Lead Apostle Nwogu at the Altar during the divine service
28 April 2021

Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu concluded his missionary visit to the South Area of Nigeria cared for by Apostle Godday Odili on Sunday, 11th April 2021 with a festive divine service at G R A congregation, Benin City.

The Lead Apostle who was very elated with warm reception accorded him expressed great joy to be their midst.
He thanked God for his love and faithfulness towards the brethren and wished them the peace of God in their inner hearts.

He exhorted them with a word from John 15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I choose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My Name He may give you'

In his message, he reminded all that we are called, elected and appointed by grace through the merits of Jesus Christ, urging all not to undermine their election.

We were chosen out of love and we have to reciprocate this love by loving and obeying Him and likewise loving our neighbours, this is what God expects of us, he stated.

The Lead Apostle enumerated the fruits the Lord demand from us to include love, faith, hope and joy.
Others are obedience, forgiveness, humility and self-control.

Lead Apostle Nwogu also drew attention to hindrances to bearing fruits such as doubts, unbelieve, deceitfulness, lust. indifference and egoism.

He equally cautioned all about the consequences of fruitlessness which includes unanswered prayers, remoteness from God and feeling of fear and apprehension.

Concluding the Lead Apostle pleaded that we should be an example in:
- word and deeds.
- fighting for the salvation of our neighbours.
- fighting sin and evil
- subjecting our will under the perfect will of God.

Apostle Godday Odili and the District Rector assisted at the altar.
Eleven souls were sealed during the service.
