The Lead Apostle at Urhonigbe 1 congregation during the divine service
22 April 2021

In continuation of his missionary work to South, Nigeria, the Lead Apostle conducted a divine service on Friday 09 April at Urhonigbe 1 in Ndemili District,on Saturday 10 April, he conducted a wedding service at GRA for Priest Felix Ekhator Junior and concluded for the day with a Divine Service at Oka Congregation in Benin South District later in the day.

For the divine service in Urhonigbe 1, the Lead Apostle read a text word from John 20: 18 “Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.” Here the Lead Apostle said:
In the same way that Jesus called upon His disciples to testify of Him, He also expects us to testify of His resurrection today. He told the brethren to go out there just like Mary Magdalen and tell others about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

For the wedding on Saturday, the lead apostle used Colossians 3:16 as a text word for the service “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” In his message to the couple, the members and the many Guests the lead apostle advised that we desire the word of God, so we could get His blessings.  He told the couple that the word of God will consolidate their love for each other, as well to make them remember that the Lord is coming. The lead apostle said:  when we share our Joy, it multiplies and when we share our burden, it reduces.

He told the couple that, for them to be successful in their marriage, they need to be opened to each other, to be prayerful, to serve each other and not to be offended easily…

And to all present, the lead apostle concluded that, one of the things we are called to do is worship our Creator, and we can do this through singing. When the lyrics of our songs are based on the Scriptures and sung with joy, then they will serve to inspire and edify those who hear it. The joy we experience through our relationship with Jesus Christ should radiate out through all we do in our life. The worship of our lives is to be a credible witness of what we believe so that those around us will come to know our God.

Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name."  was the text used for the brethren at Oka congregation.

The Lead Apostle said:  God knows what we have done, both good and evil. Sins are forgiven, but good deeds are registered with the Lord.  The door to grace, blessing, comfort, and strength is open. No one can shut this door. Let us always engage our limited strength in the mind of Christ. Then the Lord will be with us!

Up until now we have believingly absorbed the word from the altar. May it also continue to be the guideline for our actions in the future!  Let us profess the Lord and live in accordance with His teaching despite all adversity!
