Lead Apostle Nwogu reading a text word message to the District Ministers for their meeting
21 April 2021

Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu’s visit to South-Nigeria
From 7-11 April, 2021 the missionary and vineyard work took the Lead Apostle to South Area, Nigeria.

On Thursday 7th, the lead apostle conducted a meeting for all the district ministers in the South in GRA congregation, Benin and by 2:00 pm he had a divine service at Evbobutu1 congregation in Benin North District.

For the meeting with the district ministers, the lead apostle read a text word from Luke 12:40 “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” In his message, the lead apostle talks about the various stages that will take place concerning the coming of the lord.  He said: Christ is our Master, and we are his servants; not only working servants, but waiting servants. We must be as men that wait for their Lord, to be ready to receive Him.  We are uncertain as to the time of his coming to us, we should therefore be always ready… The lead apostle asked the district ministers to look into the congregations under their care with so much love as to identify many of the things that need to be done due to the catastrophic situation of the corona virus pandemic…  He told them that many records needed to be put in order especially concerning attendance and divine service record keeping…

At 2:00 pm, he conducted a divine service at Evbotutu1.  Here the lead apostle served the brethren with a text word from Hebrew 9:12 “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” In this divine service, the lead apostle made the brethren to understand that

The Jewish sacrifice consisted of the shedding of the blood of animals.  But by his own blood that is, by his own blood shed for the remission of sins. That it was in virtue of his own blood, that he sought the pardon of his people. That blood was not shed for himself for he had no sin and consequently there was a material difference between his offering and that of the Jewish high priest.  He admonished the brethren to desist from turning the feast of Easter into a mundane celebration but to ponder about the once brought eternally valid and unique sacrifice made by Jesus for the salvation of all.
