Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu visits South West Nigeria – Part 2

After the meeting with the district ministers in the morning of Thursday, 25th March 2021 (Reported), the lead apostle by 1pm conducted a festive divine service for the youths in the Nto Obo congregation.

The enthusiastic young people numbering 99 were admonished with a text from Revelation 3: 10 – 11Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial ... Hold fast what you have, that no man may take your crown"

The Lead Apostle charged the youths to remain resolute in their faith.
As young people, you must have need of patience, perseverance, endurance and tolerance if you must preserve your crown, he insisted.

He called on them to possess virtues that will open the door of grace for them and avoid being indifference, insisting that there is no crown without a cross.

Apostle Enobong Udoh and Bishop Anthony Urom assisted at the altar.

The following day 26th, Lead Apostle Nwogu and his entourage arrived Ikot  Idomo congregation in Utu Etim Ekpo District.
Here, the Lead Apostle cautioned that anyone desirous of following the Lord must deny oneself as he spoke to them with a word from Matthew 16: 24 – 25 ”... If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me..."

He stressed further, that true discipleship is self-denials and carrying one's cross.
This is possible, when we place our will and desires   under the perfect will of God; thereby accepting and preparing for any unpleasantness which represents the cross, he explained.

Righteousness in Christ

Lead Apostle Nwogu rounded off his program in the afternoon with a divine service at Mbiakpan 2 in Mbiakpan District.

He read a text from Romans 5: 19 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous"

Lead Apostle Nwogu expressed deep thankfulness to God for His love and grace, while appreciating the brethren for their warm welcome and impressive turn out.

In his homily, he reminded them of the events of the Passiontide and Christ being the reason for the season.

He implored all to share in the sufferings of Jesus, in other to share in His glorification.

He emphasized that God did not creates death but it came as a result of disobedience and through the love of God and the merits of Jesus Christ we have been made righteous by faith.

He therefore pleaded, that we should believe in Jesus as the only begotten of the Father, as the basis for our redemption and salvation.

He concluded that obedience constitutes our love for God and our neighbours even our enemies.

Apostle Enobong Udoh and District Elder Armstrong Inyang assisted at the service with 118 souls in attendance.

It was a very fruitful and rewarding visit.
