The Lead Apostle at the Altar with District elder Adenekan translating in Yoruba language during the divine service
7 April 2021

During his visit to West Working Area of Apostle Nwanza Oscar Kabanga from 4th to 7th of March 2021, the Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu conducted a divine service for the Youth in Lagos (reported), dedicated a new Chapel at Ilugun in Abeokuta District and conducted the divine service for the departed in the newly dedicated church.

For the departed service, the Lead Apostle read a Text word from Psalm 22:26 "The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever! "

In his elaboration the lead apostle said:

Eat, Be satisfied, seek the Lord and live forever.

He stated that the souls in the realms of the departed who have not gotten salvation and are in prison will be delivered by God through our fervent prayers. The unsaved souls in the beyond who have received Christ will be baptized with water, sealed with the Holy Spirit and served the Holy communion by proxy. They would be moved into the realms of light through the saving grace of Jesus by first hearing the word of God, believing in Christ and partaking in sacraments.

The poor shall eat and be satisfied.
Those who are passing through affliction and difficult times who trust God are the poor.  Like king David, we should continue to trust God and praise him even in our agony and sufferings. In our society today, many people are victims of terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and killings.  These are poor people who need the grace of God to live, both in the realms of the living and the dead. Through our intercession, those who have transited to the beyond in unredeemed state will come to the altar of grace to gain salvation through the words of God and sacraments and their believe in Jesus Christ.

Those who seek the Lord will praise Him.
The aim of God is to give salvation to all. He is working and acting for the good of Mankind. He is God of the dead and the living. For this reason, Jesus Christ went to the realms of the dead for three days to spread the gospel to unsaved souls who died in the time of Noah, that they might gain salvation. In like manner, the Lord still work wonders today in the realms of the dead.

God uses the living to intercede for them and answer their prayers. Those who are in the realms of the dead can seek God and find Him. God will open the gate of prison, they will hear the gospel, receive the sacraments and be redeemed…

He was assisted by Apostle Nwanza Oscar, Bishop Adelabu Isaac and District Elder Ozemoje in the divine service.
