The year 2021 began on a joyful mood across the Nine Apostle Working Areas in Nigeria.
From the North to the South and East to West it was a celebration of the Lord's majesty as all the Apostles and Bishops alongside other ministers conducted festive divine services on Sunday, 3rd January to kick start the new year.
Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu assisted by Apostle Augustine Rotimi at the Abuja Central Church expressed deep thankfulness to God for His unfailing love, grace and compassion for seeing us through to new year in the midst of all the uncertainties of the out gone year.
He also appreciated all for their sacrifices, service of love and prayers while wishing all more strength and grace in the new year.
In his homily, he said we began the new year with certainty that Jesus is coming soon and therefore charged all to prepare themselves for His eminent return by seeking His fellowship and orienting themselves through His teaching.
He concluded by urging all to concentrate on what is essential in our congregations, after all we all are pursuing the same goal.
At the Central Church in Ikeja, Lagos of West Area, Apostle Oscar Nwanza said the new year lies before us like a closed book, every day is like a new page which has to be turned over and only our Heavenly father knows all that is hidden from us.
To this, those who are wise will place their hands in the hand of our Heavenly father and allow themselves to be guided in the new year.
Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong of South Central Area who officiated at Central Church, Four Towns, Uyo called on worshippers make Christ their choice, certainty and solution in the new year.
He insisted that diversity in our various congregations will not be a problem if we concentrate on what is essential and make decisions on foundation of the gospel, Jesus being our model.
Also, Apostle Samuel Usoro of South East Area conducted the divine service at Ikot Abia Idem in Ikot Ekpene where he implored the brethren to seek their future with Christ as the future we have chosen defines our everyday life.
Apostle Usoro beaming with smiles assured all that the return of Christ is certain, urging all to make Christ their sure foundation and solution while maintaining cordial relationship with our neighbours.
Apostles Enobong Udoh, Godday Odili, Chima Ibekwe and Ernest Onwukwe in their various Areas were not left out as they all pleaded with their followers to see Christ as their future.
God wants to liberate all human beings from the evil one and will grant eternal life to all those who believe in Him.
Redemption far exceeds anything that we could ever earn, let's make ”Christ our Future"
