2 April 2020

From 6th to 8th of March 2020, Lead Apostle Nwogu visited the Ondo district in the West Area of Nigeria for the first time. As part of his visit, the Lead Apostle visited two retired District Elders, conducted a district rectors’ meeting, witnessed a presentation by the youth and conducted a festive divine service.

Gratitude to Two Selfless Leaders
On 6th March, Lead Apostle Nwogu visited retired District Elders Omeh from Lagos district and Adeyemi from Badagry district. He thanked them for their years of service, and the support they continue to give for the growth of the work of God in the Lagos district. He encouraged them to continue to be an example for the upcoming ministers.

District Rectors’ Meeting
On Saturday the 7th, he conducted a meeting with all district ministers where he began by exhorting the ministers with a text word from 2 Timothy 4:2-4. In his message, he told the ministers that it is the Lord who called them to serve Him and therefore knows all the adversities they were going through.  He also urged them to be strong in the midst of challenges.

After the meeting, the Ondo youth welcomed the other district rectors with a presentation. They were thankful to their Apostle for hosting all the district ministers in the West Area, as well as bringing the Lead Apostle to Ondo district for the first time.

Oh, Bless Our God
The Lead Apostle conducted a festive divine service on Sunday 8th, at the Opeoluwa congregation. He read a text word from Psalm 66:8-9, ‘Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
And make the voice of His praise to be heard, who keeps our soul among the living, and does not allow our feet to be moved.’

He admonished the brethren to value their election as children of God and bless His name through wonderful work and the love for their neighbours. He added that:
* God elected us because of grace
* When we hear the voice of God, let us not harden our hearts
* Sometimes, God tests our faith and love for Him, “For you O Lord has tested us”
* Our tests mature and refine our faith, just as raw gold is refined in furnace
* If we give our heart to God in hardship, He will bless us just as Joseph became a blessing to the Hebrew nation
* Let us be humble in faith, but steadfast and watchful, lest we fail as Peter denied Jesus

Apostle Nwanza and Bishop Adelabu assisted the divine service.
