Apostle Nwanza at the altar during the divine service
16 January 2020

29th of December 2019, was the end of year service in the New Apostolic Church’s year calendar.  This day was observed by many New Apostolic Christians around the globe. In Nigeria, so many events took place on this day.

In the West area of Apostle Nwanza, the end of year service took him to the Ancient city of Badagry where he had a divine service in Pota congregation which had in attendance the retired Apostle Hagher as well retired District Elders Omeh (Lagos) and Adeyemi (Badagry).  Their presence at Badagry was in connection with a send-off ceremony that was to take place after the Divine service which the Badagry Youth had organized and prepared to thank their former District Elder for his dedication and hard work.

During the divine service, the Apostle read a text word from Psalm 40:5, ‘Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; and Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.’

In his message the Apostle said:  “This is the end of the year, are we all rich in Christ?  If we are rich in Christ, let us share this wealth with our neighbour.”

He reminded all present about the events that took place in 2019 such as the West youth convention in Abeokuta, Children’s day and Confirmation service. He said all these events will remain engraved in our hearts.

God elected us in order to entrust us with the greatest wealth of all, namely the glory of His inheritance. In conclusion, the Apostle said: “We praise God for the riches He has granted us and trust in Him.”

The Apostle invited District Evangelist Usilo and Community Evangelist Lekan to assist during the service.
