The concluding parts of Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu's 6day visit took him to Nung Ukim in South East area cared for by Apostle Samuel Usoro, on Saturday 14th September, 2019.
The Lead Apostle served the joyful congregation numbering 264 with a word from Zechariah 1: 3: "Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to me.... and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts"
He charged them to return to their first love for God with humility, faith, joy and trust. He assured them that God's promises are ‘Yes and Amen,’ insisting that when we return to God with our full hearts, He will accept and bless us. When you return align yourselves with the gospel of Christ, he concluded.
Apostle Samuel Usoro and District Elder Bassey assisted at the altar.
Twelve (12) souls were sealed while one priest and two deacons were ordained.
By 1pm same day, He arrived Asanting congregation in Odori Ikpe district where 177 souls were anxiously waiting.
The Lead Apostle read a text from Mark 13:37: “And what I say to you, I say to all, Watch!"
Here, he admonished the brethren to be watchful in their relationship with God, relationship in the congregation, relationship with the ministers, our life of faith, our thoughts and deeds.
Apostle Samuel Usoro and Shepherd Ubong Ukpong were called to assist.
Ten (10) souls were sealed and retirement of one priest.
In the morning of Sunday 15th September 2019 at 10am the Lead Apostle and his entourage arrived Ikot Abia Idem, Ikot Ekpene for a festive divine service where 344 members and guests had gathered.
He read a text from Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit and joints and marrow........."
Lead Apostle Nwogu reminded the brethren that the word of God is sharper than two- edged sword. He further said that the power in the word of God creates love, faith and hope molding us after the image and likeness of God through Christ.
Apostle Usoro and District Elder Emmanuel Essien also served along. One priest was retired while two priest and a deacon were ordained.
By 1pm the Lead Apostle rounded of his visit with divine service at Adiasim.
He exhorted them with a word from 2Timothy 2:19: “Nevertheless, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knows those who are His, .........."
Lead Apostle Nwogu said if we want to return to the Lord and remain on the solid foundation, we must depart from iniquity, fight and overcome evil and watch our life of faith. He cautioned on rebellion, egoism, irreconcilability and self-esteemed.
The host, Apostle Usoro assisted at the service. 212 members and guests attended the service.
In all the divine services, the Lead Apostle urged all to return, watch and build on the solid foundation of the apostolate which is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
