The 6-day working visit of Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu, from 10th to 15th September 2019, took him to three working areas of South Central, South West and South East of Nigeria. In the duty and calling of getting the bride of Christ adorned and ready for His imminent return, the Lead Apostle conducted eleven divine services serving a total of 1,916 souls. He also retired two Priests as well as ordained five Priests and four Deacons. In every working area, he was joyfully received and accompanied by the host Apostle, Bishop and district ministers.
Spending 2 days in the South Central working area, the Lead Apostle spoke on seeking peace amongst ourselves as well as our election and divine protection in God. He was hosted, and assisted by Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong and Bishop Udombang.
Pursue Things Which Make for Peace
On Tuesday, 10th September 2019, Lead Apostle Nwogu arrived at Ita Uruan in Mbak district to share the word in a divine service based on Romans 14:19, “Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and things by which one may edify another.”
He charged the congregation to pursue the things which make for peace as this will align our lives with the Prince of Peace. “This is a necessary condition for our preparation” he added, “We must be reconciled with one another.”
God Has Chosen You
The 2nd day, 11th September, took the Lead Apostle and his company arrived at Osuk Ediene in Ikot Inyang district where he exhorted the congregation with a word from Deuteronomy 7: 6-8, “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God: the Lord your God has chosen you......”
Here, he reminded the brethren that as the bride of Christ, we are holy people whom the Lord has called, chosen and elected. He therefore cautioned that we should not take our childhood in God for granted.
The Lord Defends His People
The Lead Apostle concluded his visit with divine service at Ifiayong congregation in Four towns district. He read a word from Isaiah 31:5, “Like birds flying about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem...”
The Lead Apostle assured the bride (us) of the protection, defence, and salvation of God through His Son, but warned against doubt, mistrust, faithlessness, egoism and irreconcilability.
