26 October 2019

Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu shared the message of God’s fatherly assurance, the blessings of seeking God’s will and strength in the grace of Jesus Christ over a 6-day pastoral visit to southern Nigeria at 4 congregations.

We are the Zion of our time
At Ikot Inyang Effi (Nto Obo district) on Thursday 14th September 2019, he exhorted the congregation with a word from Isaiah 62:1, “For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest......”

The Lead Apostle assured the brethren that we are the Zion of our time and as such God shall not rest till our salvation is secured, even in our difficult situations of life. He urged all to submit and heed to the salvation plan of God through His Son as this is the primary task of the apostolate.

Always seek the will of God

The Lead Apostle admonished members at the Nkwot Ikot Ebo (Utu Etim Ekpo district) with a text from 1 Kings 22:5, “And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire for the word of the Lord today”

He urged all to always seek the will of God in all circumstances of life, and that blessings can only be achieved when we seek the perfect will of God. We can seek the will of God by adhering to the word of God, being prayerful, examining one’s self and reconciling with our neighbours.

The Lord; our defender, protector and guide
At Umuogor-Ndoki on Friday 13th September 2019, the Lead Apostle addressed a congregation on the text word Exodus 13:21: “And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.”

Lead Apostle Nwogu reflected on the text word saying that in our walk of faith, God is always there to defend, protect and guide as He did for the Israelites in the wilderness. He charged all to align their lives with the gospel of Christ as given through the apostolates.

Strength in the grace of Jesus Christ
At 2pm, on 13th September 2019, the Lead Apostle concluded his visit to South West area with a divine service at Ukanafun Ikot Ekpat (Ntuk Otong district) based on the bible verse 2 Timothy 2:1, “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

He charged the congregation to be strong in their life of faith, love, loyalty, reconciliation and confessing of Christ. He concluding by urging all who seek grace to be humble and continue steadfastly in the Apostles' doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers.
