The 2019 edition of the Northern Nigeria New Apostolic Church Youth Convention was held between Friday September 6th and Sunday 8th September, 2019 at the premised of the headquarters of the New Apostolic Church in Nigeria, Plot 60, Idris Gidado Crescent.

The convention attracted about 109 youth drawn from Abuja, Keffi and Sabon Sarki Districts of New Apostolic Northern Nigeria under the theme, ‘RICH IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST’.

The youth engaged in several activities such as drama, quiz, cultural displays choral presentations, talent shows, debate, talk shows, among several others to the admiration of the audience. Other highlights of the convention included a presentation on the “Harmful Use
Of Alcohol” by sister Fortune Mfon Udot (a medical laboratory scientist).

Declaring the convention open on Saturday September 7th 2019, Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu charged the youth to be rich in the attributes of Christ, as faithful children of God in conformity with the theme of the convention.

In a welcome speech to the youth, the responsible Apostle for North Nigeria, Augustine Rotimi, spoke on “Role of the Youth Towards Better Understanding of the New Apostolic Church Doctrine”. He charged the youth to be focused and devoted to their Creator declaring, “you are the trustees of posterity”.

In a seminar which was conducted for the youth by Lead Apostle Nwogu on the topic, ‘Place of Youth in the Future of NAC in Nigeria’, he noted that the youth, who are the bridge between the old and future generation of the church, are critically needed to carry out the work of God in the church.  According to the Lead Apostle, an enlightened, zealous and joyous youth is the firebrand of the church and charged them to go into the vineyard of God and do their best to make the church grow.

Four members of the National Youth Convention Planning Committee were also in attendance at the Abuja convention to interact with the local organizers towards a better 2020 Youth Convention in Benin City. They included Apostles Odili Goddy, Oscar Kabanga Nwanza, Onwukwe Ernest and District Evangelist Imade Charity Ede.
