Morning devotion, clean up and physical warm-up
On Saturday 31st August, the youth began their program as early as 5:30 AM with a morning devotion, clean up and some physical warm-up exercises to get ready for the day’s activities.
Seminar by Apostle Chima Ibekwe
The day’s activities continued with a seminar delivered by the Mid-East working area Apostle, Chima Ibekwe Opara, who in his message after reading a text word from 1 Timothy 4:12 – “ Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” – advised the youth to value their call as New Apostolic youth.
He told them to defend their faith by exhibiting a good conduct among their peers, showing love to their neighbours and to be an example in the community they find themselves.
Singing, Cultural Dance, the Hymn Book Game, Survival of the Fittest and Drama
After the seminar by the Apostle, there was a celebration of songs as the youth engaged in a variety of some intriguing competition of singing, know-your-hymns (the hymn book game) as well as the survival of the fittest Know your bible game. Also performed on the night was a cultural dance, drama and talent display.
