In the West of Nigeria, Apostle O. K. Nwanza travelled to Ibadan city, the Oyo state capital with Bishop Isaak Adelabu.
On Saturday 2nd March, they attended a well-planned concert in memory of the departed after which they held a meeting with all the ministers in Ibadan district together with two guests ministers they invited, in the persons of District Elder Matthew Adenekan of Abeokuta District in Ogun State and District Evangelist Ajani of Igbo Ora District in Oyo state.
On Sunday the 3rd March, the Apostle conducted the divine service for the departed at Odo Ono congregation in Ibadan with an attendance of 226 members.
For the service, he read a text word from the letters to the Hebrews 4:16, ‘Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need’.
While emphasizing on the theme and the message of the divine service which were Come to the throne of grace and All both the living and the dead come to the merciful God, he told the brethren the importance of the sacrifice our Lord Jesus Christ made in our stead and how this sacrifice brought the sacrificial service of the old covenant to an end.
The Apostle implored the brethren to come to the throne of Grace with confidence by believing in Jesus Christ as the redeemer of our souls. “Come to the throne of Grace with trust as our Lord Jesus Christ does not condemn us but understands us,” he concluded.
Bishop Isaak Adelabu, District Elder Adenekan and District Evangelist Ajani were called to serve.
