It was a blessed and joyful moment on Sunday, 3rd March 2019, as Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong of South Central Area of Nigeria accompanied by Bishop Ime Udombang  led over 30 District ministers to a festive Divine Service for the Departed at Mbierebe Akpawat.

The Apostle exhorted the brethren with a text from Psalm 145:18-19, ‘The Lord is near to all who call upon Him. To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him.......'

Apostle Ekpenyong who described the service for the departed as a feast of love, mercy and compassion implored all to endeavour to draw near to God. He insisted that the Lord is near to those who accept Him, be reborn again and draw near to Him in truth. He further said, God draws near to those with open hearts who diligently seek Him in truth, sincerity and love.

Concluding, he said those who fear God have their desires fulfilled and are saved from destruction, charging all to fear God in all circumstances of life and allow their life to draw others to God.

Bishop Ime Udombang, District Elder Peter Akpan and District Evangelist Idongesit Eyop assisted at the altar.
