Apostles and Bishops before the arrival of District Apostle
14 December 2018

It was a long awaited Sunday for the Surulere congregation in Lagos district, West Nigeria, as District Apostle Michael Ehrich, in the company of Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu and all Apostles and Bishops from Nigeria visited the first congregation to be established in the land of Nigeria by Apostle Peter Gfeller in 1974.

The District Apostle read a text word from Mathew 10:12-13 (NKJV), ‘And When you go into a household, greet it.  If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.’

Reflecting on the text word, the District Apostle said that the Apostles have been sent to preach the gospel. He went on to say that the message of Christ is very clear. Even if the promise of His return has remained for more than 2000 years without being fulfilled, we should continue to wait.  For none of the promises made by God has ever failed.
He added that the Lord sent the Apostles to fulfill this mission; in return the Apostles have sent other ministers such as deacons and priests to assist in this mission. Anyone who receives and hears the message from these messengers will be blessed.

The District Apostle enumerated points to take as children of God in other to fulfill this mission:
- We need to recognize our neighbour, and invite them to fellowship with us
- Believe in Jesus Christ and His return
- Believe and focus on the Apostles’ ministry
- Live according to God’s will

In this divine service, three (3) District Elders and three (3) District Evangelists were ordained for East Central and North Areas of Nigeria.
