Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu undertook a week long pastoral visit to the South Central, South East and South West Areas of Nigeria. This began on Monday October, 15th to Sunday 21st, 2018.
The first leg of his visit took him to Eweme in Nsie District on the 16th, where he was joyfully received. He was accompanied by the host, Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong and Bishop Ime Udombang.
He exhorted the brethren in a divine service with the text word from Hebrews 2:18, ‘For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.’ He charged all not to yield to temptation but to remain faithful in the midst of trials and temptations.
Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong and Bishop Ime Udombang were called to assist. Also, one soul was Holy Sealed and two Deacons ordained with 117 souls in attendance.
He then proceeded to Ikot Akpa in Ikot Akpa District where 116 brethren had gathered for the afternoon divine service. He read a text from Revelation 22:10, ‘And He said to me, do not seal the words of the prophesy of this book, for the time is at hand’.
There, the Lead Apostle talked about the revelations of God. He insisted that the promises of God are ‘yes’ and ‘Amen’. He was assisted by Apostle Ekpenyong and the host District Elder.
By 10:00 AM on 19th October, the Lead Apostle had arrived at Ikot Akpabin in Ikot Enua District to a joyful welcome where 137 members had gathered.
He read the text word from Isaiah 45:22, ‘Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no one other.’ The Lead Apostle reminded all that there is no other means of salvation except God through His Son. He also cautioned that our God is a jealous God.
Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong and Bishop Ime Udombang were called to assist. Two priests were ordained during the service.
By 1 PM the same day, the Lead Apostle conducted the last divine service in this area at Nung Udoe in Mbierebe Akpawat District. The service had 67 members in attendance. He admonished participants based on the text word from Matthew 16:24 ‘… If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me’.
Addressing the congregation, the Lead Apostle insisted that without the cross there is no crown. He assured all that grace is what we need to bear the cross joyfully. Apostle Ekpenyong and the host District Elder assisted the Lead Apostle.
