Joyful members at Okpowo congregation after the divine service
19 September 2018

There was great joy in the Okpowo (in Enugu Ezike, Nsukka, East Central Area) and Abiakpo Ikot Essien (in Ikot Ekpene, South East Area) congregations as Apostles Ernest Onwukwe and Samuel Usoro visited them separately on Sunday the 16th of September 2018.

The two Apostles served in each of these congregations using the text word from Psalm 27:4, “One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:  that I may dwell in the house of the Lord…”

At the Okpowo congregation, Apostle Ernest Onwukwe shared his reflections on the text word by describing the House of God in 4 ways:

  • - A congregation of kindred minds in joyful fellowship of common goal and faith
  • - Church of Christ of believers who have been Holy Sealed in the name of the Triune God, and follow the Apostles’ ministry
  • - A spiritual home where believers are prepared for the return of our Lord
  • - The embodiment of the Holy Spirit, His works and testimonies as well as the character of Christ

Apostle Onukwe further explained to the congregation that to seek to be in the House of God, we should have unflinching trust in Him, accept His will in all ways, love one another unconditionally and help others achieve salvation as well as faithfully hold on to the Holy Acts through which we are redeemed.

Apostle Usoro, in serving the congregation at Abiakpo, asked the brethren to appreciate the temple of God. He added that this is where they can experience His care and concern by seeking fellowship with Him in the Divine services, remaining steadfast in their congregational fellowship and creating room for the Holy Spirit within them.

The Apostles performed Holy Sealing for three and two souls respectively, during the Divine services.
