The 2017 Annual Thanksgiving day celebrated on Sunday 1st October, 2017 has come and gone, but the sweet memories and blessing lingers on.
“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever– Amen”. Romans 11:36. These words of Apostle Paul over 2000 years ago are still fresh, as we owe our natural life and eternal salvation to God alone.
In Nigeria Thousands of New apostolic believers from all walks of life were on hand in their different congregations to show gratitude to God for all his benevolence.
At Four Towns, Uyo, South Center Apostle Ekpenyong reminded all present that our salvation is possible through Jesus when we follow those commissioned by him, the apostles.
Apostle Usoro at Ikot Abia Idem, Ikot Ekpene urged believers to always give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and wonderful works as it satisfies the longing soul and filled the hungry souls with goodness (Psalms 107:8-9).
Apostle Udoh at Nto-Obo, Abak reminded members that windows of Heaven are open with blessings to those that glorify God through gratitude (Malachi 3:10).
In South Area, apostle Odili used thanksgiving service to thank God for Nigeria and offered prayers for her 57th independence which was also celebrated nationwide on the fist of October. The apostle admonished the children not to be carried away by the situations in the country but to stand firm in faith and trust solely in God.
In the west, apostle Hagher served at Akowonjo congregation in Lagos and called on all the brethren to know that everything we possessed belongs to God and ask all to show gratitude to the giver.
In essence a heart of gratitude is required to appreciate God for our necessities of life and the joy He grants us at his living altar.
