To God be the glory - the Youth Convention took place from Friday September 8th to Sunday the 10th. All the Youths from the various Districts of the working area converged together in Abuja Central Church with a lot of enthusiasm and were welcomed by the Apostle Augustine Rotimi and Bishop Yohanna Magaji .
The Apostle and Bishop thanked God and congratulated the Youths for their journey to Abuja for the historic event. He also reminded the Youths to understand that they are the future of the Church and its Leaders. As such, they should get involved in building a convincing and solid Faith in the New Apostolic doctrine, to be able to face future challenges and responsibilities.
The motto of the Convention was tagged “Teach me to do your will and lead me in the land of uprightness” (Psalm 143:10).
The Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu in his address gave a text word from (Philippians 4:4-5). He encouraged them to always rejoice as to sustain their Faith and fellowship to the end in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Activities continued with the drama, songs and research topics like self reliance and qualities of a good leadership to mention but a few. To crown it all, a quiz competition was carried out with questions relating to the Church doctrine, Holy Scripture and general knowledge on ‘what we are and what we believe in’ as New Apostolic Christians. Finally, the day’s activities ended with an advice and prayer from the Apostles, the Bishop and the Youth leader.
The Convention came to an end on Sunday with a Divine Service conducted by the Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu with a text word from 2 Samuel 10:12.
