From Thursday, 14th through Sunday 17th September, 2017 over 1360 Youths from South East and South West Areas of Nigeria gathered at two centres simultaneously for the 2017 Natonal Youth Convention.

At Ikot Abia Idem, Ikot Ekpene, the Responsible Apostle, Samuel Usoro in his opening remarks using the theme: “DO NOT SAY I AM A YOUTH (JEREMIAH. 1:7) urged them to live a life that give God the glory and bring forth virtues of humility, love, faith, perseverance and the fear of God. The three day event featured: words/songs ministration, teachings, seminars, Bible quiz and outdoor activities. Prizes were won by best performing Districts.

These events climax on Sunday with a divine service. In his message from Galatians 3:8 Apostle Usoro admonished all the Youths to close ranks and work together as a team because unity in Christ abolishes differences.

He was assisted by District Elders Emmanuel Ibokessien, Emmanuel Udofia and District Evangelist Mathias Udoh. One Priest was ordained.

The case was not different at Nto-Obo, Abak, where the host Apostle,  Enobong Udoh speaking on the theme “THE ROAD TO SUCCESS  insisted that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).

He urged all the youths not to disappoint their parents and the church by shunning acts inimical to the unity and oneness of purpose. Bishop Anthony Urom and the Area Youth leader Del Moses Akpan assisted the Apostle. It was indeed a worthwhile experience.
