The missionary works of Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu from 25th to 28th of August, started with a meeting with the District Ministers where he admonished them to teach and preach the gospel and sound doctrine of Jesus Christ according to New Apostolic Church standard ( 2 Tim.4:1-5 ).
Following the meeting, was a divine service at Upper Sakponba congregation.
The Lead Apostle admonished the brethren of the need to always believe in the word of God preached to them (Acts 28: 24). Four souls were sealed during this divine service service.
On the second day, the Lead Apostle with the Local Apostle traveled to Afuze District, where he served at Uokha 2 and Evbiamen Congregations and admonished them to behave like children of God using (1 Thess. 5:4-6) as the text word.
The missionary journey climaxed on the third day with a festive divine service with the Youths of South Working Area who have been in camp for the 2017 Youth Convention tagged:
“Let Us Glorify God, Our Father."
The Bible text was taken from Joshua 23:11. The youth were admonished to take heed to themselves and love God. "Taking heed to yourself and loving God is one of the ways to glorify God, our Father," said Lead Apostle. He gave examples of signs of those who Loved God to include:
- being eager to be closed to God, prepared to hear from God, prepare to receive grace from God, Always prepared and ready to forgive, Seek peace and pursue it; prepare to make sacrifices of their time, intellect, resources, and strength; pray to God and trust Him for answers, keep God's commandments, make all efforts to do good works, fear and walk with and in God, wait patiently and faithfully for the return of Jesus Christ.
The Youths participated in praise and worship, seminars, workshops, prayers, choir practice, quiz, special songs and individual talent show.
