Thousands bid final farewell to the late retired Apostle Uwah
26 January 2017

Tears, Joy and standing ovations galore: Family, Apostles, Bishops and friends including his 'New Apostolic members'  in Fourtowns, Uyo pay stirring tribute to 'the pioneer of NAC Nigeria' Apostle Okuyak Uwah.

On Friday the 13th of January, history was made as Apostle K. Ibekwe of Mid-West Nigeria led other 14 Apostles and Bishops of The New Apostolic Church in Nigeria to bid farewell to the pioneer Apostle Okuyak Uwah of Fourtowns in the South Centre Apostle’s Area in Uyo, Nigeria.

The solemn funeral service was attended by over 1000 ministers of New Apostolic Church and 78 others from various churches in the Region, among whom the Catholic, Baptist and Anglican.

To address the overcrowded congregation,   the officiating minister, described the deceased as a 21st century Apostle Paul of our time for spending 30yrs as an apostle.
He read a text word from Romans 14:8-9 ”For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living”  and use it to remind all present that life is a loan from God.

He went on to describe him as a good man who saw brighter days and charged survivors to emulate his lasting legacies.
Called to assist were Apostle Hagher from the West and Apostle Samuel P Usoro from South East.
