Editors deliberating over an exercise
25 January 2017

A maiden workshop for editors of the New Apostolic Church was organised in Ghana on the 19th and 20th January, 2017. Seven editors from five West African countries participated. The training was held at the New Apostolic Church West African Administration in Osu, Accra-Ghana.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19). In fulfilling the commandment of Christ, the New Apostolic Church uses diverse means of reaching out to all. In discharging this duty, publications by the editors can never be overlooked. This is because they play a major role in reaching out to a larger audience over the internet and the magazine – Community.

The Reader is Our Priority

The head of the editorial board, Bishop Urs Heiniger and his deputy, Bishop Eric Ampadu (Rtd) took the editors through series of lectures and presentations. The main objective for this training was to improve and foster effective broadcast of information to our readers based on the vision and mission of the church.
We write not for ourselves. It is the priority of the New Apostolic Church Editorial Board to write to the readers’ understanding.

Participants were District Elder Armstrong Inyang and District Evangelist Oscar Kabanga Nwanza both from Nigeria, Priest Jenkins George (Liberia), Priest Abdulai Sannoh (Sierra Leone), Priest Millimono Campbell (Guinea), Angelina Oppong-Brenya and Beverly Nkrumah (both from Ghana).
