Lead Apostle Nwogu with Apostles and Bishops in an open outdoor sacristy for the funeral service
25 October 2016

Saturday 22nd of October 2016 Akure District witnessed for the first time the presence of all Apostles and Bishops in Nigeria with their wives.  Their presence in Akure was not for any other thing that to pay their last respect to late sister Florence Rotimi the wife of Apostle Augustine Rotimi of Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.  Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu conducted the funeral service for the late sister using a bible text from the first epistle of Paul to the Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised in incorruptible, and we shall be changed...” he told the audience not to cry as people who do not have hope but to emulate sister Rotimi by trusting and having faith in God.
After the funeral service, the late sister was taken to her compound where the interment took place with all her family members, all Apostles and Bishops with their wives and the choir in attendance on Sunday the 23rd of October 2016, Lead Apostle Nwogu commissioned by District Apostle conducted a divine service in Akure district where he served holy communion for the departed. It was indeed a well deserved celebration of life for our late sister.
