The women and the choir arriving Iheoji for the Lead Apostle's divine service
28 January 2022

From 20th to 21st January 2022, the Lead Apostle conducted a district ministers meeting and three divine services in Mid-East, Apostle Chima Ibekwe’s working area, Aba.

On his first day, he was received at Amauzu congregation in Itungwa District where he was given a warm welcome from the Mid-East District Ministers and immediately after the meeting he held a divine service at the same venue.

1 Thessalonians 5:1 was the bible text for the service 'But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.

In his message the Lead Apostle talked about our expectation concerning the coming of our lord Jesus Christ.  He told the brethren that, God has not given us the power to know the date and time of the second coming of Christ, but He wants us to be prepared. Our heavenly Father expects us to be spiritually ready when the Savior comes in His glory. Therefore, He has given us signs, which are events that will tell us when the Savior’s Second Coming is near. Throughout the ages God has revealed these signs to His prophets. He has said that all faithful followers of Christ will know what the signs are and will be watching for them. If we are obedient and faithful, we will know the signs.  The establishment of the apostle’s ministry here on earth is one of the greatest signs to reckoned with.

The Lead Apostle urged everyone to be steadfast in the apostle’s teaching and doctrine.

Apostle Chima Ibekwe was called to contribute in this divine service.

On the second day the 21st, the Lead Apostle conducted his second service in Iheoji congregation in Umuaja district, Aba.  Here, he read a text word from 1 John; 3:1Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

In his elaboration the Lead Apostle said: God sent His Apostles here on earth to prepare us for the second coming of Christ, man is expected to look forward to the coming of the Lord and forget about the earthly pleasure…

As God's own children through the baptism of water and the Holy Spirit, we should always be hungry of hearing His word and fight against the evil one.

He added that when Christ was on earth, His desire was to do the work of His Father.

He Urged everyone to take the work of God seriously by being a missionary.
