The Lead Apostle Being welcomed at Mbierebe Obio
18 March 2022

In continuation of Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu's visit to South Central Area, he and his entourage arrived Nsie Congregation in Nsie District on Wednesday, 2nd March 2022 to a warm reception.

The joyful congregation numbering 64 was admonished with a text from Luke 17: 22 "Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men"

I welcome all to the divine service and wish all the peace of Jesus as Christendom marks ash Wednesday today, which is the beginning of the Lent season, the Lead Apostle said.

He elaborated on the events of the ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Passiontide which will culminate into Easter after 40 days.

Continuing he said Jesus Christ does not allow anything to prevent Him from pursuing His path.

Talking about the betrayal of Jesus, the Lead Apostle said the plan of salvation is not defined by coincidence but by the will of God.

It was only when the fullness of time   "comes " that God sent His son for the salvation of mankind.

He reiterated that Jesus was firmly resolved to fulfill His mission, and He followed the path of suffering and death.

Concluding, the Lead Apostle pleaded:  Let us too pursue our path to perfection with the help of God.

Today, and especially in the future, the bridal congregation has a task to fulfill within the plan of salvation.

The host, Apostle Effiong Ekpenyong assisted at the altar.

Put on the armor of God

In the afternoon, the Lead Apostle arrived Mbierebe Obio Congregation in Mbierebe Obio District to a rousing reception by Sunday School Choir and ministers.

The Lead Apostle who commended the congregation for their patience in waiting, addressed them with a text word from Ephesians 6: 10 – 11 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil"

Lead Apostle Nwogu said we can only be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might when we:

Absorb the word of God, accept the grace, remain in the fellowship, be prayerful, partake worthily in the Holy communion.

Concluding, he said the armor of God are necessary prerequisites to fight sin and evil.

These are:

Helmet: which signifies Salvation, breastplate: which is Righteousness, belt: signifies Truth and booth:  Our Preparation.  Apostle Ekpenyong and District Rector Michael Asuquo served along.

One Community Evangelist and a priest went into retirement with 76 souls in attendance.
