The Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu with his entourage received a warm welcome by the children in Bamu, Bodo City

On Saturday, 19th of March 2022, the Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu took his visit to the South-South Apostle working area.

The first Divine Service was held at Bamu Bodo-City in Bodo-City district, here the Lead Apostle took a text word from Psalm 33:18-19 “Behold the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his mercy to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.”

In his sermon, the Lead Apostle highlighted and explained the importance of the fear of God in the times of old and of today.

He said: Elijah and other men feared God who saved them from hardship experienced in the land of Israel. He further advised the congregation to emulate these men who feared God and kept His commandment.

A Priest was ordained and a Deacon was placed into retirement. The service was attended by 236 and 41 souls received the gift of the holy spirit.

 

The Lead Apostle second service was a Zonal youth divine service of the Gokana Zone.

The service was held in Sugi Congregation in Biara District.

Reading a text word from the Acts of Apostles 4:12  "Neither is there Salvation in other name. for there no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved," le advised the youth from these three districts that the only way to salvation is the Lord Jesus Christ.

He further directed the young people: to believe in the son of God, hold strongly to our faith, be of a compassionate mind and a forgiving heart.  He pointed out that these are the qualities of a prospective youth.

The service was supported by the Bishop Samuel Banuna and the Biara district youth Leader Priest prosper Belgeni, 76 youth were in attendance.
