You are not alone
The Apostle who was given a resounding reception addressed the congregation with a text word from John 8: 29” And He who sent me is with me. The father has not left me alone, for I always do those things that please Him"
I feel highly delighted to be at home with all of you, having warm fellowship with the triune God and all of us. I lay in your hearts the peace of Jesus Christ that passes human understanding. Where there is peace, there is growth and growth leads to completion and perfection. When we are perfected we will be glorified together with Christ. With this deep expressions, the Apostle welcome all to the mother’s day service.
He described mothers as live wire of the congregation, our joy and pride. It gives me great joy when we know that we are not alone in our path of faith. This is made possible when we do those things that is pleasing to God, he reiterated.
More so, we are not alone because we have the Saviour and master. We are pursuing the same goal and we want to have everlasting fellowship with Him in His Kingdom.
But we cannot please God if we don't know His will. His will is to deliver us from sin and lead us to everlasting kingdom.
Apostle Inyang pleaded that all should look unto God in all circumstances of life assuring that God will not abandon us on our path of faith. He charged the congregation to trust, obey and believe in God. We obey Him out of love and not fear of being punish, he concluded.
District Elder Nse Ukime, Priests Ezekiel Edet and Ekemini Enang assisted at the altar with 305 in attendance.
In the South, West, East Central, Mid-East, South Central, South… the Mother's Day celebration was spiced up with activities like special lecture, poem recitations, special songs, dances, gift sharing and most especially beautiful presentations were rendered by children and youths to their mothers.
