After the divine service at Ikeja congregation
26 November 2022

The Lead Apostle together with all Apostles and Bishops in Nigeria had a synod conference from Saturday November 19th to Sunday November 20th. After the divine service on Sunday, the Apostles convened to attend a zoom meeting with District Evangelist Heim in relation to various building projects in the country.

For the divine service, the lead apostle approved a program that saw three to four apostles with a bishop or two, serving the brethren across three congregations in the Lagos East district. IKeja, Papa Ashafa and Majidun received the apostles for the divine service and the joy was full.

For the divine service in Ikeja which was conducted by Lead Apostle Nwogu, the text word was taken from Matthew 13: 11-12.  He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the [mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.  For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

In his elaboration, the Lead Apostle said:
The mysteries that Jesus is referring to are divine truths that often escape human reason.  The only way we can recognize and grasp them is if the Holy Spirit reveals them to us.  In order to be blessed and saved, human beings must believe in these revelations.

The holy Spirit reveals divine truths to us.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, that He elected us, that He sent His Apostles, that He will return, and that He is present among us today.  In his conclusion, he said: This faith is the door to blessing and salvation.

A total of 77 brethren attended the service. Apostles Usoro of South East, Armstrong of South Central and the host Apostle were called to contribute to the sermon.

Meanwhile, Majidun and Papa Ashafa congregations in Lagos East were also in celebration as three Apostles each visited them using the same text word.
