Apostle Oscar K Nwanza visits Surulere congregation in Lagos West on Christmas Day, Sunday 25 December 2022.
John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” was used as the basis for the divine service.”
The Apostle drew the congregation’s attention to the true spirit of Advent. The divine service reinforced the belief that God became man through Jesus Christ and revealed the glory of God, expressing God’s love, grace, and truth.
In his message, the Apostle said:
The son of God became human in order to reveal the glory of God. Jesus Christ did not seek His own glory, but rather that of His Father. In everything he did, He always give all the glory to God (John 7:18), (John 11:40). The Apostle told the brethren that, we all are also missionaries, Jesus sent us into the world, just as the Father sent Him in order to proclaim His glory… He asks all the brethren to everything to the glory of God and not to please human beings or oneself.
In other congregations in the West Apostle Area, brethren engaged themselves in various activities ranging from Christmas concerts, fellowships, presentation of gifts and visitations…
