The 2023 sisters fellowship in the West Apostle Area Nigeria took place in Ikeja, Lagos from 7th to 9th of July. Sisters from 16 districts in the western part of Nigeria care for by Apostle Oscar Nwanza participated in the programme.
The fellowship was celebrated in line with the motto of the year Serving and reigning with Christ. The fellowship began on Friday 7th July when most of the sisters were arriving from their various districts. On Saturday 8th July, the Ikeja Central Church in Lagos, was clouded with the sisters as they held their morning devotions and march past to officially begin the fellowship activities. The West Area Apostle who was accompanied by all the district ministers in the West area as well as the retired Bishop Adelabu, officially opened the ceremony by thanking and encouraging the sisters for their resilience and enthusiasm about the work of God. The apostle used the opportunity to thank the sisters for their many sacrifices rendered in the development of the work of God in the West Apostle area.
For so many sisters the march past was exciting and reminded them of their primary and secondary school days and they appreciated the unity, love and atmosphere among all the participants. After the March past, all the sisters converged into the central church auditorium where bible quiz, games, seminar, workshop, health talk and medical check took place.
The highlight of the sister’s fellowship was the divine service on Sunday 9th July conducted by Apostle Nwanza.
The special festive divine service was based on John 6:35, ‘And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.’
In his message, the Apostle asked all present to come to Christ and believe in Him through the Apostles.
