13 August 2023

From Friday 4th to Sunday 6th of August 2023, Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu conducted three divine services, visited the retired district elder Omeh in hospital and took part in one of the JW foundation music camp rehearsals.

Delayed for 4 hours at the Abuja airport, the lead Apostle got to Lagos around 1.30pm.  From the airport, he and the host apostle drove to Saint Lucia Hospital in Iju Ajuwo to visit a retired district elder who has been in admission for over a week.

After the hospital visitation, the lead Apostle had a short meeting with the Lagos administration staff before proceeding to Majidun congregation in Lagos East where he served 108 souls on that evening.

On Saturday 5th, he conducted a youth service for the Lagos East and West, and during this service, two young brothers received the deacon ministry and the Ikeja congregation received a new rector.

After the youth service, in the afternoon, the Lead Apostle took time to visit the JW Foundation Music camp going on in the Central Church Lagos and he was amazed to see the work being done in music through the assistance of the Foundation.

On Sunday 6th, the Lead Apostle traveled to Sango Ota in Ogun state where he conducted a festive divine service in the newly built Sango Ota district central church.

During his visit, the Lead Apostle blessed the brethren with three important message:

At Majidun congregation, the Lead Apostle asked all present to pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what they have heard, so that they do not drift away, “Hebrew 2;1)

For the youth service at the Ikeja congregation, the Lead Apostle used Psalms 139: 14 “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” in his message to the youths he said: The formation of man is not of himself, nor of his parents, but of God, and is very wonderful in all its parts; he urged all the youth to know that, God Created Them with Love.  On Purpose they have the innate ability to discern right from wrong. Although, that ability is hindered somewhat until you connect with your Creator.  He said God didn’t design us to do our own thing. He created us so we should desire an ongoing relationship with Him.

To conclude his visit in the West Area, the Lead Apostle used a text word from the gospel according to “Mark 7: 37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

In his message, the Lead Apostle asked all present to follow Jesus Christ as He was the only one who could do things well and perfect.
