I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Christ gives His own all that is necessary for their salvation. This explains why He has sent His Apostles to contribute to the spiritual wellbeing of the faithful and all around them.
Christ in demonstration of His love for human beings did not only teach and preach the gospel of salvation spiritually but also showed great concern for the physical wellbeing of all around Him. It is recorded in the scripture that Jesus Christ has compassion on the people and provide food for them and heal them of all manner of sickness and even visited people at home to comfort and strengthen them.
In one of His departing message, He admonished us not only to live in His words but in kinds (deeds). This is because whatever we do for our neighbor we did for Him.
Christmas is the demonstration of love of God to mankind. It is a period of great expectation and waiting for the coming of the Saviour Jesus Christ. It is a period of practical love for one another and giving of gifts to not only love ones but all especially those who cannot provide for themselves.
It was also in the spirit of Christmas that the Lead Apostle Nwogu Geoffrey with Apostle Odili Goddey led brethren to Madam Davis Buwa Orphanage Home in Sapele, Delta State to have fellowship with them and present some food items and cash to them.
This explains why the Media Crew of South Area of New Apostolic Church in Nigeria went round the Working Area to find out how members celebrate Christmas.
