The first visit of the Lead Apostle to the West Area, under the care f Apostle Oscar Nwanza in 2024; saw the National Church Leader visiting the Ibadan District in Oyo State on the 21st of January.
After the District Apostle transmission’s service in Ikeja (Reported), the Lead Apostle, Apostle Nwanza and the West District Ministers headed to Odo-Ona Congregation in Ibadan District for a Divine Service.
The Lead Apostle and his entourage were received on their arrival by the sisters, ministers and children.
For the children, it was a great opportunity for them to present a role play describing what happened at the Tower of Babel to the Lead Apostle. The presentation was well executed to the joy of all present, especially the Lead Apostle.
For the festive Divine Service, the Lead Apostle read a text word from John 1: 48 – 49: Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
In his message, the Lead Apostle said: Jesus Christ knows us and therefore reminded the brethren that God called us personally to lead us into His Kingdom.
He said God cares about us and provides us with what we need.
He also said that; God knows our capabilities, He blesses our works of love and sanctifies His servants.
In this Divine Service, a Deacon and a Priest were retired, three Deacons were ordained and congregational Rectors were appointed.
Apostle Nwanza was called to contribute to the sermon during the divine service.
