Message: “Who is your neighbor?”
Jesus Christ Himself was involved in this explanation of a neighbor. He talked about an encounter with a certain man who was passing from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves who stripped him of his belongings and left him half dead. Many people passed without looking after him including a Priest and a Levite. A certain Samaritan showed compassion to him by taking care of him, took him to a place of healing with a promise to come back and pay whatever the bills may be.
Apostle Chima Ibekwe Explained that a Neighbor is someone who shows love and care and has compassion. According to the Apostle, it doesn’t matter where the one comes from, his Religion or his social status. That person beside you at a moment of need, is your neighbor. Jesus tells us to love God and keep all His commandments and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. He further called on the youths to always volunteer themselves for the service in the vineyard and remain committed in the work of God and in society.
‘Preaching What we have Learned’
Prayer works when you are committed to it. He urged them to pray at all time for the wisdom of God to enable them do the required task in the Vineyard. In conclusion, he urged the youths to also identify their neighbors and show love and compassion to them, that is what God requires from us.
