There was great jubilation in South West working Area of Nigeria as Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu paid a two day apostolic and pastoral care visit from Tuesday 17th through18th September 2024.
The first leg took the Lead Apostle to Luawii congregation in Luawii District of Rivers State, where 102 souls had anxiously waited for the arrival of the entourage
The Lead Apostle expressed deep thankfulness to God for His unfailing grace for the past fifty years of our existence as a church in Nigeria and called for heartfelt gratitude from all.
He exhorted all from Acts 5: 19 - 20. "But at night, an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out and said, Go, stand at the temple to the people. All the words of this life". Lead Apostle Nwogu said that till now, God's great wonders still exist; as Christ was with the early Apostles He is still the same.
He assured all that His loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting, urging all to be resolute in our faith even in the midst of hostilities.
Concluding that when our faith is strong, we will show a heart of gratitude.
Apostle Enobong Udoh and District Rector Felix Bapep assisted at the altar.
The second day, the Lead Apostle in company of the host, Apostles Udoh and Armstrong Inyang of South Central Area arrived Midim Waterside congregation in Abak District to a rousing reception.
"Sing to the Lord a new song"
Here, he addressed the congregants with a word from Psalm 96: 1 - 2 "Oh sing to the Lord a new song! ......bless His name" The solemnity of the fellowship was felt as the Choir set the tone: "Ring the bell of Heaven, there is joy today.... spread the joyful tidings...." Beaming with smiles, Lead Apostle Nwogu said there's great joy in our hearts which calls for celebrating God's grace not only for us New Apostolic but the whole country. He reminded all of how a handful of believers started this work of grace fifty years ago and now it had blossomed everywhere. Through the apostolate we can remain in the Apostles doctrine, fellowship, prayers and breaking of bread, let us be thankful for he said.
Concluding, he said we will be able to sing a new song and bless the name of the Lord when we:
- Believe implicitly in Him
