It was a blessed moment for the brethren in Island District as Lead Apostle Nwanza accompanied by Apostle Adeyemi conducted a festive Divine service on Sunday 5th, January 2025.

It was clearly noticed that the congregants were expecting to receive the Lead Apostle.
And his words during the combined service at Ilashe (Kobina) Congregation where the motto of the year 2025 was unveiled with text word from Galatians 6: 9 - 10 "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." titled "It is time to do good"

The Lead Apostle made it known that we have been given extra time to do good in 2025 and it is time to please God. If we do good, does it please God? What counts now is that we redeem the time by taking advantage of every opportunity presented to us in order to do good. He emphasized on the three points highlighted by the Chief Apostle:  Doing good by working towards our salvation, doing good to our neighbour, doing good in the church. The household of faith starts with our family and our brothers and sisters walking the same faith. Parents were advised to take good care of their children. To teach them to love Christ and the Church.

After the Divine Service the Lead Apostle had a brief meeting with the Choristers in preparation for the Chief Apostle's visit to Lagos, Nigeria in February. A fellowship with the ministers was worth-the-while before our departure from the Island. They were delighted while they watched us until we went out of their sight.The service was attended by 189 persons.
