There was great excitement as the newly commissioned Lead Apostle Oscar Nwanza paid a 5day apostolic and pastoral care visit to the South Central Area of Nigeria cared for by Apostle Armstrong Inyang from Wednesday 9th to Sunday 12th January, 2025.
In his entourage was the recently retired Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu, and the duo were joined by the 3 Regional Apostles and Bishop of Akwa Ibom State.
First on the itinerary was the visit of the Lead Apostle and his entourage to a non-governmental Organization Child right and rehabilitation network: Crarn, Eket, Akwa Ibom at the instance of our District Apostle.
Top on agenda of the Lead Apostle was also a meeting with the Regional Apostles and Bishop on Friday 10th morning, where he harped on Regional integration for maximum delivery system, mutual understanding and support towards each working Area.
Lead Apostle Nwanza equally had a meeting with all District Ministers of the Apostle Working Area. Here, he hammered on sacrifices, effective collaboration, leading by example, and perseverance. Let us determine to please God by doing His will. In this, we will receive a commiserate reward here and eternal life here after he pleaded (Luke 18:29 - 30.
On Friday and Saturday afternoon, the Lead Apostle and his entourage conducted divine services at Ikot Inyang Ikot Udofia and Ikot Akpa, respectively, before concluding at Four Towns congregation on Sunday 12th.
In all these congregations, the entourage received a thunderous and joyous reception from the children choir and ministers.
“The true light”
At Ikot Inyang Ikot Udofia congregation, the Lead Apostle addressed the faithful with a text word from John 1: 9: “That was the true light which gives light to every man who comes to the world” describing Jesus Christ as the true, genuine, perfect, and steadfast light that illuminates the world. Apostles Samuel Usoro, Armstrong Inyang, Bishop Ime Udombang, and the District Rector served along with 272 in attendance.
“Godly jealousy”
Lead Apostle Nwanza at Ikot Akpa reminded the congregation about Christ's love for His bride, whom He is preparing as a chaste virgin, and he jealously guards. He charged all to jealously guard their Sonship in God.
The message was taken from 2Cor 11: 2 “For I am jealous for you with Godly jealousy, for I have betrothed to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin of Christ”. Apostles Inyang, Bishop Udombang, and the District Rector assisted.
“Godly rules”
The visit climaxed on Sunday with a festive Divine service at the Central Church, Four Towns, uyo. The auditorium was full to capacity, in the words of the host, Apostle Inyang: we had long for this day, we had prayed for this day and the day is here with us; it's time to do good beginning from ourselves.
The Lead Apostle beaming with smiles expressed deep thankfulness to God for His benevolence and joyfully welcome all to the warm fellowship.
He exhorted the faithful with a word from 2 Tim 2: 5 “And also, if anyone competes, he is not crowned unless the competes according to the rules.” He emphasized the need to do the will of God by keeping to godly rules. He insisted that no one is crowned without keeping to the rules. These rules are not measured by Earthly principles but grace, discipline, self-control, and love, he concluded.
All the regional Apostles, Bishop, and District Rector were called to serve. Among those in attendance were the Regional Leaders' spouses.
The visit was rounded off with meeting with Area Youth Leaders, Choir Masters, Media Coordinators, and Sunday school teachers in the afternoon and musical / Choral Concert in the evening.
Indeed, it's our set time to pleased God by doing His will without delay as we have additional opportunity.
