The news in this region remains dominated by the visit of the Lead Apostle to the homes of the retired Apostle Felix Omeh, retired Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu, a midweek divine service at Lugbe congregation, a district ministers meeting as well as the festive divine service at the Abuja Central Church Wuye congregation. Arriving on Friday 25th of April instead of Thursday 24th due to the NIMET strike, the Lead Apostle accompanied by Apostle Jediel, Priest Dabas and sister Nwanza went straight to the home of the retired Apostle Omeh.
The visit was a source of wisdom and faith for the continuation of the work of God in love.
Brothers and Sisters who were around during this visit benefited immensely from the wisdom and knowledge of our beloved retired Apostle felix Omeh and his beloved wife Sister Rose Omeh as they shared with us their challenges and successes when building the work of God in the northern region of Nigeria. The Lead Apostle dedicated their new home and named it A Home of Wisdom. It was indeed a moment of Joy for the occupants and guests who were around.
The Lead Apostle with the same company proceeded to the retired Lead Apostle Geoffrey Nwogu Resident and this was another joyous moment with brothers and sisters as the retired Lead Apostle took us back memory lane, how the work of God was steadfastly done both in love, unity and faith. He admonished all those present to continue in faith until the last Soul is found for the return of Christ. Lead Apostle Nwanza offered prayers to the family after which a beautiful fellowship took place to the joy of all.
In the evening under a very heavy downpour the Lead Apostle held a Mid-Week Divine Service at Lugbe Congregation reading a text word from Luke 8:18. “The effect of the preaching depends on the disposition of our hearts” as the key message, the Lead Apostle said: Faith, love, peace, patience, longsuffering, self-control are the fruits of the Holy Spirit that can come out of the preaching, but to allow these fruits to grow and be felt by all around us, we need to listen well.
On Saturday April 26th, the Lead Apostle had a meeting with all District Ministers and their Deputies from the north working area of Apostle Geoffrey Jediel at the Wuye Central Church Abuja. He admonished the district ministers using a text word from 2 Timothy 4:2 – 3. In his message he said: “Jesus Christ entrusted the Apostles with the mission to teach the gospel in the proper manner” (Mt 28:20). The minister’s task is to preach the gospel as taught by the apostolate. He insisted that: We are called to proclaim the true gospel in all circumstances, favourable or not. We cannot adapt the teaching of Jesus Christ to the expectations of the audience…
On Sunday April 27th the Lead Apostle held a Divine Service at Wuye Central Church reading a text word from Matthew 13:33 “Another parable He spoke to them: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened”. In his message, he said: Let us promote the development of the kingdom of God.
He concluded that, the kingdom of God has drawn near to humankind in Jesus Christ. God has placed His life within us. Its development depends on us. It can transform us and make us like Christ. God sends a small flock among humankind to announce salvation to them. He will see to it that all people know the good news.
