In his message, the lead Apostle said: Sister Elizabeth kept her faith in the New Apostolic Church until her death. She went through many trials and overcame them. She kept the vow made at her baptism and holy sealing to remain faithful to the New Apostolic faith as expressed in our creed...
Using 2 Timothy 4:7 as a reference during the funeral service and at the gravesite, the Lead Apostle emphasized the importance of perseverance and faithfulness to the vow made during our baptism of water and on the day of our Holy Sealing.
He went on to encourage all those present to embrace the challenges and hardships that come with following Christ, reminding all that their struggles are part of a larger spiritual battle. While touching on the main text word of the Divine service, the Lead Apostle said: A child of God whose name has been written in the book of life needs to persevere and remain steadfast in faith, knowing that there is a reward awaiting those who remain faithful till the end.
He said: the late sister went through a lot of trials and challenges in life but all these couldn’t suppress her faith. Even when she had to accept the amputation of one of her legs, she remains very strong and she continued to say: It’s God’s will and I am okay… The Lead Apostle said: with these proofs of strong faith, surely sister Elisabeth is an overcomer, she shall be clothes in white garment, and her name will not be removed from the book of life but our Lord Jesus will confess her before God and His angels for her faithfulness.
