New Apostolic Church in Nigeria, Mid-East Apostle working area, Held its first annual men's fellowship /convention at Amuzu Ohanze congregation in Obingwa District, from 13th-14 June 2025.
The event featured various activities, including:
Street Rally/Evangelism, The convention began with a street rally and evangelism, emphasizing the importance of spreading the word of God,
Opening Divine Service was Conducted By District Elder Ngozi Benjamin, He draw a text from Ephesians 2:14 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,”
„Christ our Peace“
He emphasized the unity brought by Christ and encouraged the men to evangelize and win souls for Christ, District Elder Onyebuchi Stephen and District Elder Samuel Achor was called to serve. Sports and Talk Shows: The convention included sports and talk shows, they participated in different sports activities, providing opportunities for bonding and discussion,
On Sartuday 14th June, Apostle Chima Ibekwe conducted a Divine Service Roundup the two days event. Reading a text from Hebrews 3:12-13, “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
“Power of Fellowship“
Apostle Ibekwe highlighted the power of fellowship, emphasizing that Christ is the head of the Church, and men are the head of the family. He encouraged the men to prioritize fellowship and prayer. He urged the men to awaken the real man of God in them, letting go of doubt and unbelief. The importance of prayer was emphasized, with Apostle Ibekwe encouraging the men to pray together as families and as a fellowship.
Call to serve Shepherd Samuel Uba the District rector for Obingwa, Six retired District elder and Evangelist received a retirement package from the area, The convention have been a resounding success, providing opportunities for bonding, spiritual growth, and evangelism.
