Arrived in Lagos on January 13, 2026, in the early afternoon, the District Apostle, who is making his last pastoral trip to Nigeria before his retirement, was accompanied by the District Apostle helper Rheinberger.  He was greeted at the airport by Apostles Nwanza Oscar and Adeyemi Emmanuel.

  1. A Divine service steeped in history of the first congregation in Nigeria.
    In the afternoon, the District Apostle led a Divine Service in the Surulere congregation in Lagos West District. Accompanied by his assistant and Apostles Nwanza Oscar, Adeyemi (Nigeria), and Leghanza Alain (Gabon). He was welcomed by the most senior member of this congregation. This historically significant congregation was the very first New Apostolic Church congregation in Nigeria. The District Apostle took a Bible text from Matthew 16:14-16 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. “He said to them, “But who do you say that I am? “Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” The District Apostle invited the members to focus on Jesus Christ and His imminent return. Therefore, we must not fear the future, but trust in God.  Called to serve along, the District Apostle helper told the brethren that, believe bring about knowledge and asked everyone present not to be afraid but to believe in Christ. 
  2. A Final, Emotional Meeting with the West Africa 3 Apostles
    On Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., at the New Apostolic Church Headquarters in Lagos Ikeja, the District Apostle held a meeting with all the Apostles from Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon. During this final gathering, he thanked the Apostles for their hard work in each area of ​​​​responsibility and for their excellent collaboration. Based on the passage from Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them,” he urged the Apostles to be true ambassadors of Jesus Christ by being mindful and role models for their brothers and sisters, focusing on the pure proclamation of the gospel, and caring for the communities entrusted to their care.
