The Lead Apostle Oscar Kabanga Nwanza concluded his three-day pastoral visit to the Mid-East Apostle Working Area, Aba, with a Divine Service on Sunday, 15 February 2026, at the Umuhu Congregation, Umuhu District.
Bible Text: Luke 10:3 “Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.” Message: “We Are Called to Announce the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
The Lead Apostle emphasized that the Gospel is a beautiful and life-giving message that opens hearts. Referring to NAC Hymn 86 “I Love to Tell the Story,” He reminded the congregation that the
Gospel of Jesus Christ is the story of salvation and faith delivered to the disciples and entrusted to believers today. He urged members not to keep this message to themselves but to share it with others. Just as Christ sent out the seventy, believers are sent into the world with faith and responsibility to proclaim the Good News. Explaining the image of “lambs among wolves,” he noted that a lamb appears weak and defenceless, yet represents humility, obedience, and complete trust in God.
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, gave His life for the salvation of humanity. Therefore, believers should not fear but remain faithful, trusting in Christ their Shepherd. He encouraged the congregation to: remain steadfast in faith, seek first the kingdom of God, Avoid following worldly influences (wolves), The Lead Apostle further urged them to appreciate God’s grace and allow Christ to guide their lives as they fulfill the Great Commission.During the divine service Apostle Chima Ibekwe, DR Samuel Uba were called to serve along, 12 souls received Holy Spirit, District Evangelist Victor Onwumere were honourably retired from active ministry , 230 members including guests were in attendance.
The Divine Service marked a blessed conclusion to the pastoral visit, leaving the brethren strengthened in faith and renewed in their mission to proclaim the Gospel of Christ.
