On Sunday 1st March, 2026, Apostle Adeyemi (West working area) embarked on a mission after arriving Ibadan for the Train the Tutors Seminar for the West Apostle Area. It took about 40mins to go through a really bad road until we ascended a hill path to reach a reactivated congregation, Molete/Oyebiyi which has remained inactive for a decade.
The congregation is situated in the western part of Ibadan District, in the outskirt of Ibadan city. This village is very close to a circular road that includes an underpass improving access to and from the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Our dear Shepherd Wilson David, the District rector led the way with some District Ministers who remained till Sunday and choir members from nearby congregations. All were encouraged with the message: Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world – John 11: 43 … Come Forth! during the Service for Departed Souls. Two Deacons were ordained a Priest. One of them is now taking charge of the newly reactivated congregation. The dear Priest Francis Ikpe Emmanuel, who has now remained faithful, has his family including her mum to grow the work. Her late husband was the former rector of Odo-ona congregation. There is a lot of prospects to bring back some members who had long visited the congregation and also new guests will be invited from the village where the people meet in the farm or market square or stream to fetch water or other activities. The Priest is also involved in subsistence farming in poultry and livestock, where his skills also lies. It was a lovely to see brethren, happy to have the New Apostolic Church revived in Molete.
