From April 24th – 26th, 2026, all District Ministers in West Area from Nigeria had a meeting and Divine Service with the Lead Apostle. This started with the meeting at Badagry Town/City Hall in the ancient city of Badagry, Lagos State. Highlight of the meeting was to know that we are servants who do the work of God without pay, in a servant-master relationship.
We are not workers who require wages to work, in a worker-boss relationship. We are advised to grow in our offerings in all congregations and results in God's blessings. Other spiritual aspects were touched. Then we proceeded to historic places like the museum, first storey building... Point of no return. We returned successfully as we saw the Door of return being constructed. This was a pacesetter for our amiable youths who shall be visiting Badagry for their Youth Convention from Sept 4-6, 2026. A courtesy visit to a newly reactivated congregation in Badagry Town as the Lead Apostle addressed guests and welcomed them. The Climax of the visit was Divine Service at Ikeja Central Church gallery, Lagos. Text word from 1 Peter 3: 13 "Works of faith" Let's be diligent in doing good. We overcome evil within good, Jesus Christ overcame the world, John 16: 33, our 2026 motto: " *Don't be afraid. Just believe!" The promise we made at our baptism and sealing was to take up the battle against evil. The Divine Service is significant to us. It is the work of God, and also our work. The Holy Spirit guides us through God's word. We have the opportunity of forgiveness of sins. We partake in Holy Communion and foster fellowship with brothers and sisters in Acts 2: 42.
What good can we do for others? We fulfil the commandment to love God and our neighbours, contribute to the unity of the church and congregation, and be of one mind 1 Peter 3: 8. The good works he has started in us, he will complete. Philippians 1: 6. Our dear confirmands received the blessing of confirmation with a letter from Chief Apostle and text word from Matthew 10: 32 "Professing Christ". All successfully returned to their various districts on departure after the Divine Service. Some of them had to travel about 300 – 400km by road.
