On Saturday 13th of June, Lead Apostle Oscar Nwanza, accompanied by the Apostle in charge of the South region, Goddey Odili, made a special trip to Adeje, a congregation in Ekpan District, Warri town led by District Evangelist Emesone, who was also present.
Before a fervent and eager congregation, the Lead Apostle ascended the altar to deliver a message, based on John 17:20-21, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me." reminding everyone of the Mystery of the Trinity
In his message, the Lead Apostle said: We celebrate God in his Trinity; after Pentecost, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit now appear together. The biblical passage offers a beautiful image of the mystery of the divine Trinity: “You in me and I in you.” There is “you” and “I.” The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are distinct. And yet, one is “in” the other, so that “you” and “I” are perfectly united as one and the same God. This is closeness, trust, relationship, love. This is heaven, he continues…
After the service at Adeje congregation, the Lead Apostle and entourage returned back to Warri town, to attend a choir musical concert organized by the Ekpan District Choir. Before 195 members, the Lead Apostle was full of joy for the beautiful performances.
On Sunday 14th, the lead Apostle conducted a festive Divine service in the Ekpan Central Church.
Using a Bible text from Nehemiah 8:10 (excerpt) “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength “, the Lead Apostle said: Christians are called to serve God joyfully in the church. When we serve, let us be aware that we are serving both God and our neighbour. When we serve with enthusiasm, our witness can be inviting. The deepest source of our joy is the nearness of Jesus Himself.
The divine service was attended by 203 and 28 of them received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Later in the evening, the Lead Apostle visited the home of the retired District Elder Cyril Emanerame and the gathering was full of experiences of faith.
