The Apostles being welcomed by the Sunday school to Nwezor congregation
11 July 2026

During his visit to the South- South area, care for by Apostle Felix Kpegasin, on Sunday 12th July, Lead Apostle Oscar Nwanza conducted a festive Divine Service at Nwezor Congregation in Bodo City District.

Using a text word from Matthew 6:10 “Your kingdom come.” The Lead Apostle reminded the congregation that God's kingdom extends beyond the present world and called believers to live with a longing for His eternal kingdom.

The Three Kingdoms

  • The Kingdom on Earth – A world marked by suffering, injustice, and unrighteousness.
  • The Kingdom of the Departed – The great beyond, where departed souls await God's grace.
  • The Kingdom of God – The eternal kingdom of peace, righteousness, and everlasting life.

From Abraham, through the time of prophecy, to the ministry of Christ, God has continually revealed His plan of salvation. Christ calls us to believe, repent, and follow Him so that we may inherit eternal life.

Preparing for God's Kingdom
As God's children, we should daily:

  • Practice the gospel by living what we hear.
  • Love God wholeheartedly and love our neighbours.
  • Live in righteousness with sincerity.
  • Preach the gospel through our character and actions.
  • Imitate Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to shape our lives.
  • Maintain a burning desire for God's eternal kingdom.

The Lead Apostle emphasized that the Kingdom of God begins in our lives today as we faithfully live the gospel while looking forward to its glorious fulfillment, where God will wipe away every tear and there will be no more sorrow or pain.
He challenged the congregation with a heartfelt question: "Are we truly longing for the Kingdom of Christ, or have we become comfortable with the things of this world?"

Call to serve:
